We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our home care environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, particularly in assisted living, nursing homes, or care homes. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and supporting the management team in delivering effective care plans for our residents.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Supervise and support nursing staff in medication administration and daily care routines.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for both staff and residents, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Ensure that all documentation is maintained accurately and up-to-date, including care records and medication logs.
Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
Address any concerns or complaints from residents or their families promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior care setting, preferably within assisted living, nursing homes, or care homes.
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and health regulations.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of developing and implementing personalised care plans for residents.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to resident care.
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident support.
A relevant qualification in health or social care is desirable but not essential.
