Mill House Club provides high-quality Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club childcare, offering a warm, home-from-home environment for children aged 3-11 years. Our Riccall setting is friendly, creative and busy -- and we're looking for a Deputy Manager to join us on a maternity cover contract.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

Deputy Manager

to support the day-to-day running of our Riccall club. You will help lead the team, create a fun and engaging play environment, and ensure all children are cared for safely and confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Manager with the daily running of the club Lead staff during sessions and support team development Provide high-quality care and play opportunities for children aged 3-11 Plan and deliver creative, fun, and enriching activities Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff Maintain a safe environment and uphold all safeguarding and Ofsted requirements Step into the Manager role when required

Requirements

Level 3 childcare qualification or above (essential) Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated childcare environment Experience in a senior or leadership role (preferred) Good knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, and playwork Confident communicator with a positive, professional approach Enhanced DBS check (can be arranged if needed)

This role is based at

Riccall (YO19 6PF)

, located on the 415 bus route between York and Selby.
