Room based post full time

Our Deputy Nursery Managers are an essential part of our team and, while maintaining a hands-on role, support the manager in the smooth running of the nursery.

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will manage and develop the nursery team ensuring quality assurance in all rooms. you will be required to undertake administrative and IT duties including a collection of fees, nursery database, purchasing and receipts alongside the manager.

Job requirements

Essential

Right to work in the UK Full and relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Minimum of 2 years experience working in an Early Years setting Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding and the ability to take the lead in vulnerable situations when required Excellent communication skills to enable clear articulation of your ideas and ensure successful planning and delivery by the nursery team Proven senior leadership experience in an Early Years setting with a coaching approach to developing staff Experience in distributing staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios whilst supporting other rooms Ability to build strong nurturing relationships with the nursery team and stakeholders Continually strive for best practice in yourself while inspiring others A child-centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate Confidence to step into the role of Nursery Manager where required

Strong desire to influence positive change when required through modelling the mission statment. Communicate with parents and guardians and engage them in expanding their child's learning beyond the nursery A customer-centric approach to building lasting relationships with our families and the wider community

Monday to Friday 7:15 - 5:30 / 8-6
Education:

Diploma of Higher Education (required)
Experience:

Childcare: 3 years (preferred) Management: 2 year (preferred) Nursery: 2 years (preferred)
