Inspire Hope Limited is a new Children's Home Services provider, based in South West London, that will focus on EBD and complex needs of Children and Young People. We are dedicated to creating positive and measurable outcomes for every child and young person in our care.

Our Children Residential Home is located in Norbury, South West London, SW16.

The Vacancy



We are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for a new Residential Children's Home in South West London that is due to open late summer of 2025. They will work in our 3 bedded provision based in Norbury, SW16. The right candidate will have a caring nature and a genuine motivation to work alongside our children and young people with mental health, emotional & complex care needs from 8-17 years old in our residential setting.

The Deputy Manager will be responsible to work with the Registered Manager and responsible for management and supervision of both the Residential Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, and any agency staff along with the day-to-day supervisory responsibilities.

Upon joining us as a Deputy Manager at Inspire Hope, the successful candidate will work alongside the Registered Manager within the running of our residential children's home.

Experience of direct work with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and complex care needs is essential along with excellent knowledge of Ofsted.

The ideal candidate will need to have their level 3 in Residential Childcare and it would be advantageous to have or working towards their level 5 in Leadership and Management. The Deputy Manager will also be trusted to perform their role with autonomy befitting of your experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Enrich the lives of young people in our care, helping them create a positive future To maintain an in-depth knowledge of The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, the Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policy and procedure. To safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the children / young people.

Leadership and Team Management:



Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice within the new home to ensure best outcomes for children and young people. To manage a quality service aiming to achieve a 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating. Supervise and support the staff group ensuring that the team are developed appropriately to meet the specific needs of children and young people in the home. Complete probationary and annual performance appraisals for all staff to ensure that they are able to continue to provide appropriate levels of childcare. To maintain occupancy levels that are both commensurate with the business needs of the service and needs of the young people placed To represent the home to outside agencies and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements imposed by them and requirements of commissioners.

Home Management:



To provide a therapeutic environment that promotes and supports children / young people's recovery from their abusive and traumatic life experiences. Enhancing self-esteem and respect: Helping each young person in your care develop a positive self-image and ensuring they feel respected and valued. Accurate and detailed recording: Maintaining meticulous records of events, observations, progress, child protection matters, and health and safety checks. Care planning and assessment: Collaborating with the manager and other professionals to create, implement, and review individual care plans based on the children's needs.

Required Skills:



Passionate about delivering a high-quality service that promotes the independence, choice and dignity of children. Completed and Obtained Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare Working towards or willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People's Residential Management) 2 years as a Deputy Manager Driving licence (preferable)

Pay: 32,000.00-36,000.00 per year
