Deputy Home Manager
for our

Tottenham (N17)

About the Home
Our
Tottenham home
provides a warm, structured and therapeutic environment for children aged 10-17. The home focuses on stability, emotional wellbeing and helping young people develop life skills and resilience through consistent relationships and positive routines.
As
Deputy Manager
, you will support the
Registered Manager
in overseeing daily operations, leading a motivated care team, and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the residential childcare team
Act as the
safeguarding lead
when required, ensuring all policies and procedures are implemented effectively
Oversee care planning, behaviour support and risk management in line with
Ofsted standards
Maintain compliance, audit readiness and contribute to continuous improvement
Support operational functions including
rotas, staffing and budget management
Participate in inspection preparation, governance reviews and service improvement plans
Engage in professional development and mentoring to prepare for
Registered Manager
responsibilities
What We're Looking For
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a senior or supervisory role within a children's residential setting
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Motivation and readiness to complete the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
Strong understanding of
safeguarding
, compliance and quality standards within Ofsted-regulated services
Confident, resilient and child-centred leadership approach
Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality therapeutic practice
