Our Ofsted-registered residential home in Tottenham offers a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people. We work with a relationship-led, trauma-informed approach, ensuring every decision is guided by the needs and best interests of each child.

Your Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help lead a committed team and maintain the highest standards of care. You'll be a role model for best practice, a source of guidance for staff, and a trusted, consistent presence for the young people we support.

Key responsibilities include:



Leadership & Team Management:

Support the Registered Manager in supervising and developing staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.

Care Planning & Implementation:

Oversee personalised care plans that meet Ofsted standards and promote each child's wellbeing and development.

Safeguarding & Welfare:

Act as safeguarding lead in the Manager's absence, ensuring the safety of children and staff.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Assist in inspections, uphold care standards, and drive ongoing improvement.

Professional Development:

Engage with a structured plan that prepares you to step into the Registered Manager role.
Your Fast-Track Progression Plan

We'll equip you to confidently transition into a Registered Manager role through:

Initial Training:

Comprehensive induction covering compliance, HR, safeguarding, budgeting, and home management.

Shadowing & Leadership Development:

Work alongside the Registered Manager in decision-making, meetings, and operational leadership.

Advanced Management Training:

Complete your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (if not already held) and attend targeted workshops.

Assessment & Transition:

Final review before moving into the Registered Manager post, supported by senior leadership.
What You'll Bring

Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a children's residential setting NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and willingness to work towards Level 5 (if not already held) Strong leadership skills, safeguarding expertise, and understanding of relevant legislation Motivation, compassion, and resilience, with a commitment to progressing into senior leadership A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential
