We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Manager in a Residential unit for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD) challenging behaviour and other Mental Health issues at our Unit in Gravesend, Kent.

Your Responsibilities



To support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the unit To undertake paperwork duties, taking audits, checking all documentations are completed correctly in accordance with our standards. Resolving day to day problematical issues which may arise. Safeguarding service users at all times. To take a hands-on approach in supporting the daily activities of service users and ensuring the care we provide is person-centred To ensure that service user's care plan, risk assessment and other related documents are complete, accurate and update. Able to deal with challenging behaviour and challenging situations To cover for the Registered Manager during their absence and to implement actions to meet and maintain care standard required by legislation and the local authorities To ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to. Must be flexible in schedule especially in regards to covering absences. The role requires to do sleep in and weekend shifts. Responsible for managing staff, including induction, training and supervision. Ensuring that practitioners are competent in their work.

About You:



Displaying a caring, supportive and proactive approach Being organised and have a good time management skill An effective team leader Experience of administering medication Understanding of CQC regulations and legislative requirements. Proven record of excellent team leadership in services dealing with mental health, learning disabilities, autism, sexual harmful behaviour and challenging behaviour. Hold a degree or a level 3 in Health and Social Care and working towards level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care At least three years' experience as a Team Leader or senior support worker

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
