Little Folks Day Nursery Kidderminster are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to join our team of passionate and caring early years professionals.

The position would suit an experienced level 3 practitioner looking to take that next step into management with the full support of the manger and directors to learn and develop within the role. We are looking for someone who is driven to make a difference to children's early childhood experiences and provide them with a rich and stimulating learning environment where they will be safe and nurtured.

Main Responsibilities

To work alongside the manager to ensure a high standard of education and care for children aged 0 to 5 and for children aged 5 to 12 in our out of school holiday club.

To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and visitors in attendance.

To develop and grow parent partnerships and encourage and support involvement in children's learning and development.

To deputise for the Nursery Manager and oversee the running of the nursery in the mangers absence.

To lead a team of practitioners and support them to deliver quality care and education to our children.

Qualifications

A full and relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early years is essential.

Experience and knowledge

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years recent experience of working in an early years setting and experience of leading a room.

Knowledge of the EYFS and statutory guidance.

Knowledge of safeguarding.

Skills & Attributes

Understanding of child development within the early years

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

IT knowledge

Nurturing nature and ability to manage behaviour by promoting positive praise

Be a team player as well as having initiative and ability to take the lead
