We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in children/young person's care, with specific experience in supported accommodation/residential home. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage staff, oversee support plans, and ensure the highest standards of care/support for our residents.
Duties
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the homes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills in delivering exceptional senior care.
Develop and implement individualised support plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs.
Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Foster a positive environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, and well-being.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting support plans as necessary.
Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in assisted living or residential home settings is essential.
Background in nursing, social care or relevant healthcare qualifications is highly desirable.
Demonstrated management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
Proficient in developing support plans tailored to individual resident needs.
