Key responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for a hub of 4 x four bedded homes, managing and supervising the House Manager's service delivery to ensure the smooth running of operations over 24 hrs
Champion the standards expected of the service
Triangulated care planning approaches
Clear line of sight between statutory regulation and organisational policy
Highest standards of professional practice are maintained and reviewed frequently
Participating in operational projects to champion continuous service improvement
Deputise for the Head of Adults Care/Registered Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of support to maintain the registration.
The role will be part of the management on-call rota and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification, NVQ Level 3 / 4 Health & Social Care, Desirable Level 5
Extensive knowledge and experience of working with young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential setting
Previous experience in a management role in a care setting
Strong knowledge of CQC Essential Standards for Homes for young adults
Experience of rota management
Ability and commitment to manage and support staff to enable cohesive and effective working through team empowerment
Ability, commitment and confidence to challenge staff performance and practices and performance manage staff as and when required
Ability to work on your own initiative, within agreed procedures, parameters and in line with business priorities
