At Cubs Corner Nursery we're seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to effectively support our leadership team, driving ongoing nursery success. This role involves primarily leading a practitioner team in classrooms, actively engaging with children to foster their learning and growth.
Our ideal candidate can effectively challenge and elevate our team. The minimum requirement includes a full, pertinent level 3 childcare qualification, with potential further training at EYP/EYITT/EYT levels or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.

Experience Required:
- Leadership: Minimum 1 year
- Nursery: Minimum 1 year
Qualifications:
- Full and relevant early years qualification - level 3 (mandatory)
Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom team, supporting children's learning and development.
- Deliver bespoke training to enhance existing skills and develop leadership style.
- Challenge and grow the nursery provision and team.
- Ensure adherence to nursery Policies, Procedures, and Ofsted expectations.
- Act as a role model for staff, handling staff and parent issues.
- Support Nursery Manager in daily operations and maintain nursery standards.
- Promote safety, security, and well-being for children, staff, and visitors.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Person in the absence of the Nursery Manager.
- Collaborate with the Management team to achieve a Good or higher Ofsted grading.
- Implement action plans for nursery development.
- Embrace and promote Cubs Corner Nursery Group's ethos.
