Job Summary



Are you looking for a new Deputy Position or a Room Leader looking to move into being part of the management team.

Ideally the candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. Experience as a Deputy Manager may be an advantage but we are looking with a person with a 'can do' attitude, who wants to make a difference to the lives of the children who attend the nursery and who is interested in gaining experience in being part of the management team.

Full training will be given to ensure you help support the Manager, Director and SENCO/Deputy in this position.

The position is room based in our 2-3 year old Tweenies room, but with lots of opportunities to support the Manager in the daily operations of our childcare centre, training and being a role model for staff, and meeting Ofsted requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role would also require the candidate to be part of our Designated Senior Lead team.

This role involves assisting the Manager in supporting staff and ensuring the setting delivers a high standard of care and learning and fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities



Assist the Manager in supervising daily operations and staff management Support the implementation of the nursery curriculum aligned with early childhood development principles Lead and motivate team members to deliver high-quality care and educational activities Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and Ofsted requirements Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a welcoming environment Organise staff rotas when required, monitor attendance, and facilitate ongoing training and professional development Contribute to the planning of activities that support children's learning and development needs Support with administrative duties including record keeping, reporting, and communication with stakeholders

Experience



Ideally have been a Room Leader or Deputy previously within a nursery setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team Knowledge of nursery practices, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Having experience working with children with special needs or additional requirements is advantageous.
This is a Full Time position, 37.5 hours per week and working within a rota that operates between 7.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday (7.5 hour shift)

Pay: 25,740.00-27,500.00 per year
