We have a position available for a Deputy Nursery Manager.
The Deputy Manager will be based in The Chessel Centre, BS3 3DN and will be leading on our internal childcare offer, focusing on practice, observations, assessments and our internal offer. This is a full-time position, can be 37.5- 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. Deputy manager is a hybrid role, working both in nursery rooms and the office and supporting a SEN coordinator. This position is fixed term to cover our current Deputy Manager who is on maternity leave, we hope to find the right candidate to support us until end of March 2027.

You must be a practitioner qualified to Level 6 or above. We are searching for someone who is passionate about supporting children as they take their first steps into the world. Someone who has a sound knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to Five. Someone who is confident in ensuring statutory welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations. We are searching for a second Deputy to work with the Early Education and Childcare leadership team and support our purpose of creating a wonderful place for our children and families to attend.
You will be passionate about providing our nursery customers with a secure, warm, and safe environment. You will see the potential in all the children in our care and will work closely with our team to create interesting opportunities for each child to develop and shine. We are looking for someone who can bring new concepts, ideas, and passion to their work, helping to support the Lead Practitioners in their work. The role will line manage up to 3 direct reports.

HOURS:
37.5- 40 hours.
CONTRACT:
Fixed term until the end of March 2027
RATE OF PAY:
Between 30,423.69 and 32,451.94 depending on hours. 15.56 per hour (due to increase from 1st April 2026)
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are accepting those qualified to level 6 and above.
