About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership of our well-established nursery in
Crystal Palace
. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality education and care.
Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, guiding the team, and ensuring all children receive outstanding learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure smooth, effective operations.
Provide strong leadership and model best practice in Early Years education.
Support planning and delivery of a broad, balanced, and stimulating curriculum.
Contribute to staff training, development, supervision, and performance management.
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children and staff.
Support occupancy growth by conducting tours and engaging prospective families.
Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.
About You
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education or Childcare.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience within an Early Years setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive, child-centred approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable:
Experience supporting Ofsted inspections.
Knowledge of nursery management systems and operational procedures.
Familiarity with staff supervision and performance reviews.
