Take the Lead as Deputy Manager with iStep Learning

Deputy Manager

to join our growing nursery team.

In this pivotal role, you'll support the Nursery Manager in ensuring outstanding care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, and step in to oversee day-to-day operations when required. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to progress into senior leadership within a supportive, rewarding environment.

We're looking for a proactive, hands-on leader with strong knowledge of OFSTED guidelines (both statutory and non-statutory frameworks), a love for early years learning, and the enthusiasm to create a fun, nurturing space--whether it's leading a bear hunt, singing songs, or getting creative with messy play!

Your Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth running of the nursery, maintaining excellence in care and education.

Team Support:

Lead, coach, and inspire a team of practitioners to create a collaborative and positive working environment.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure full adherence to OFSTED requirements, safeguarding protocols, and health & safety regulations.

Parent Partnerships:

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, communicating regularly and responding to any concerns with professionalism.

Child Development:

Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences tailored to each child's needs.
