We are currently recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Nursery Deputy Manager with the desire and drive to be part of our new nursery, Little Farlington and be instrumental in being part of building something wonderful
'Little Farlington' is a 57 place day nursery, set in the beautiful grounds of Farlington School in Horsham. Our ethos is all about 'what is possible'. The nursery mission is to provide the foundations for strong and successful future learning by fostering innate curiosity and individuality in our youngest learners, encouraging them to take risks, lead, play collaboratively, develop resilience and discover, explore and adventure.
Our nursery is an important part of our whole school. Farlington is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils currently aged 4 to 18, and is set in 33 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of high quality, professional care forchildren within Little Farlington, maintaining high standards and supporting the ethos of Farlington School. You will be working with and supporting colleagues in the care of nursery children, in a way that meets their educational, physical, social, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs, enabling each and everyone of them to discover what is possible.
The role of the Deputy Nursery Manager is to assist the Nursery Manager to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
In the absence of the Nursery Manager, the Deputy will undertake the overall day-to-day management of the nursery.
The Deputy Nursery Manager will be the SENCO, Curriculum Lead & DDSL of the nursery.
This role will suit someone who has experience of working within a nursery and wants to progress their career, develop new skills and can bring innovative ideas to the business.
You will need to hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above, understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are met and have experience working in a nursery setting in a leadership position.
