Deputy Nursery Manager

to join our warm, welcoming, and outstanding early years setting.

About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You will support staff, lead by example, and uphold the highest standards of care and education in line with the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Nursery Manager with daily operational duties. Lead and inspire the staff team to deliver outstanding early years education. Ensure all children are safe, nurtured, and engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Maintain compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, health and safety, and all statutory frameworks. Build professional and positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies. Oversee planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery. Assist with staff training, appraisals, and development. Step in to manage the nursery in the Manager's absence.

About You

Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5+ desirable). Proven experience in a supervisory or senior practitioner role. Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. A passion for creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for young children. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively within a team.
