We are a

seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy

Nursery Manager

to help lead our team. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth daily running of the nursery, pre-school, breakfast club and after school club, deliver high-quality EYFS and wrap around practice, and maintain a warm, supportive environment for children, families and staff.
This role requires a suitably qualified, confident Early Years leader who can support operations, work within a team, uphold safeguarding standards, and work closely with parents and the wider community.

Duties



Support the daily running of the nursery and provide strong, positive leadership. Motivate and guide staff, assisting with recruitment, induction and performance management. Help deliver a high-quality, inclusive EYFS curriculum and monitor practice across the setting. Maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment. Build strong partnerships with families and support enrolment, communication and induction. Ensure children's health, medical and dietary needs are managed effectively. Liaise with external agencies and support transitions to school. Uphold safeguarding, equality and regulatory requirements, promoting the nursery's ethos at all times.

Requirements



Early Years leadership and management experience (desirable). NVQ Level 3 or above in Early Years (or equivalent) (essential). Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently. Proven experience building positive partnerships with families. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Maths and English at Level 2 (essential) Good IT skills, ideally including Microsoft Office and childcare software (e.g., Famly). Positive, caring, professional approach with strong organisational skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Appropriate safeguarding and food preparation qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.08 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
