Job Description

Canterbury Road Day Nursery is recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our established management team at our 90-place private day nursery. This role involves working closely with the existing leadership team and supporting the day-to-day management of a team of approximately 25 practitioners.

Hours:

This is a full-time position of either 40 or 42 hours per week, worked on a rota between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery Leading, motivating and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care and education Ensuring practice meets EYFS and Ofsted requirements Supporting staff development and maintaining high standards across the setting Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children and staff

Requirements:

Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an early years setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards Ability to support and develop an already high-performing team Professional, organised and confident leadership approach
