The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the organisation. This position involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of service. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the management team to implement strategies that enhance productivity and foster a positive work environment.
Duties
Assist in supervising staff and managing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning / managing doctors rotas.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Oversee some financial management tasks.
Support human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintain a high standard of customer service while addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
Provide veterinary expertise when necessary, ensuring animal welfare is prioritised.
Dealing with formal patient complaints.
Skills
Proven supervising experience in a managerial role.
Strong management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and financial analysis.
Knowledge of human resources practices and employee relations.
Veterinary experience is highly desirable, contributing to informed decision-making regarding animal care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
