Are you passionate about Early Years Education and want to join our team running an Ofsted-graded 'Outstanding' Preschool and Forest School?


Our ethos at Freshford Preschool focuses on nurturing our children to explore, create and discover the world around them. We're looking for a passionate Early Years Professional to join our dedicated team, helping to lead the provision of this high standard of care, support and education for our preschoolers. We are looking to hire a Deputy Preschool Manager to support in the day-to-day running of the preschool and, when required, to deputise for the Preschool Manager in their absence, ensuring that all legal and statutory requirements are fulfilled. Our Deputy Preschool Manager will also act as our SENCo Lead, for which all training will be provided.


If you hold an Early Years VQ Level 3 qualification or higher and have experience working in an Early Years Setting, we would love to hear from you. We are looking someone who has both excellent knowledge and experience of teaching and implementing the EYFS and is enthusiastic about nurturing and growing the children in our care. We want someone to join our highly passionate and skilled team to help plan, teach, and the grow the children at our unique and very popular community-led Preschool and Forest School set in the idyllic village of Freshford.


This is a part time role, term time only and includes paid non-contact time each week for record keeping, assessment and observations for your play partners (key persons) and activity planning.


We proudly pay our staff at the Real Living Wage Foundation Level or above.

Full and recognised VQ level 3 qualification or higher Minimum 3 years experience in another early years setting Has an excellent understanding of the requirements of the EYFS Proven ability to accurately observe, assess and report children's development and learning needs. Able to plan and differentiate activities and deliver them in an engaging manner Has excellent communication skills both written and spoken to interact with children, families and colleagues Confident at using IT for record-keeping and communication Excellent time management skills Demonstrates knowledge of and a natural enthusiasm for children, teaching and learning, especially outdoor learning and using natural resources Sets high expectations for the children they work with Reliable and adaptable to support the needs and ambitions of the Preschool Creative: understands the value of fun & play Positive team player Fit and energetic Shows a strong desire for improvement in the pursuit of excellence Committed to ongoing personal development
