You will be passionate about developing the College site, with the goal of achieving Outstanding in all that we do.
As a Deputy Principal of Sheppey College, part of the wider East Kent Colleges Group, you will play a key part in developing our Sheppey College, supporting and collaborating with the Principal in leading and managing a team of staff. You will ensure full implementation of the Colleges' performance management systems as well as continued engagement of learners in College enrichment and social action activities. One of your focus points for our students will be providing progression into work and education opportunities, through personal, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
This is a really exciting time for Sheppey College, and 2025-26 will be a pivotal year in the college's development, with our new Junior College provision beginning in September, and our new building housing Engineering, Logistics and Creative and Digital Design, production and development opening in November 2025.

About You
As the successful candidate you will be a suitably qualified and a highly experienced leader of curriculum, with a proven track record of driving high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. A community minded individual, you will work with teams across the college to increase opportunities for our students to put the skills learnt within their lessons into practice in a variety of community and employer settings, raising the profile of the College on the Isle of Sheppey and beyond. Entrepreneurial and commercially astute, we are looking for someone who will provide inspirational leadership to ensure that we maintain our values and have our strategic objectives consistently in view.
You will collaborate with the Principal on all aspects of student performance to maximise the full potential and ambitions of every student and play a key strategic role in the development and innovation of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. You will also lead on curriculum development and design to meet the needs of employers and students, both now and in the future.
