Overview

We are seeking a full-time permanent Assistant Production Manager. The primary responsibility of the role will be manage the planning and optimisation of production, supporting the Production Manager and optimising/improvements standards. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the production environment, with a desire to improve business standards and performance. Alongside a strong understanding of MS365 and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning, scheduling and management of production jobs for optimal performance.

Support PM to drive improved working standards across the business.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure quality product and consistency in manufacturing processes.

Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are completed and recorded.

Work with sales team to manage suitable stock levels.

Enforce H&S compliance.

Support production teams with training and development standards.

Follow correct personal management processes in conjunction with guidance.

Foster working relationships with all departments to ensure positive outcomes.

Improvement of SOP and working practices

Requirements:

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot related issues.

Good communication skills and the ability to manage and work effectively in a team.

People management experience would be desirable.

A working knowledge / experience of lean manufacturing concepts

Business Requirements:

The role will be based at our site in Stalybridge for our Rotational Moulding division.

All people are expected to be flexible, agile and willing to undertake any other duties that are reasonably required.

This role is 48 hours per week Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
