Annual Salary 31,303.48 inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week at 40 each

Based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire

Base rate starts at 14.41 per hour (29,223.48 a year) to 17.26 per hour (35,000.00 a year). Annual salary is based on an average 39-hour week.

About Smoothstone Care and Education

Smoothstone Care and Education provide safe, stimulating care and aspirational educational opportunities to children and young people aged between 11 and 18 with a range of complex speech, language and communication difficulties including autism. The young people may also have additional learning difficulties and display associated challenging behaviours.

We are looking to recruit a competent, experienced, and passionate Deputy Manager.

Candidates will have at least 3 years' experience within a similar setting, a working knowledge of autism and will already hold a

Level 3 Diploma in residential childcare or equivalent

. Holding a valid driving licence is essential.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, the post holder will assist in the management, co-ordination, and development of a range of quality services for young people referred and/or accommodated within the home.

Deputy Manager starts from 29,223.48 per year, (31,303.48 on average including sleep-ins)

Annual salary uplift of 750 on successfully completing the first year in the role, further 750 salary uplift for completing the second year with further increments offered in recognition of experience or additional responsibilities to a maximum of the top of the band. (pro rata for part time).

Full Time Deputy Manager position available.

All successful candidates will be expected to display a commitment to promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of our Young People and to participate in all activities with the young people.

Shift Patterns

A combination of early shifts, late shifts and full days with occasional sleep-in duties. All positions include working some weekends and bank holidays.

Early 07:30-15:00

Late 14:30- 22.00 or sleep

Full 07:30- 22:00 or sleep
