Job Description
Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our team, offering competitive pay at 14.50 per hour. As the Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2-3 years old.
Your responsibilities will include creating a safe and nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children, as well as fostering positive relationships with parents and caregivers. You will be instrumental in implementing age-appropriate activities and ensuring that the principles of early childhood education are effectively delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Room Leader in planning and facilitating engaging, educational activities that foster development. Support and supervise nursery staff, helping to enhance their practice and confidence. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety standards. Build strong connections with children and families, ensuring effective communication and support. Step in for the Room Leader when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Participate in observations and assessments of children's progress and development.

Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.
