Deputy Room Leader

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a someone who is qualified, experienced and motivated to join the Nursery as the Deputy Room Leader of our Under 2's provision. You will have had experience of working in a nursery and will be qualified to at least Level 3 in childcare or equivalent.

We are a small privately owned nursery situated in the village of Waverton, Chester. Our provision for under 2's has a maximum of 18 children up to the age of two and is located between two rooms. You will assist the Room leader in the management of these rooms and step up to lead in their absence.

You will be a key person and form good relationships with the children and parents who start their journey at the nursery.

You will work a 4 day week with the hours of working are shifts between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm.

Ideally you will have your own transport due to the village location of the nursery and it not being on a direct bus route

The successful applicants will be passionate about working with children and have a caring and nurturing nature to support individual children's emotional well-being.

Key requirements:

Minimum NVQ Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential) Experience of working within a nursery or early years setting Experience of working with babies/under 2's (preferred)
Key responsibilities :

To produce a stimulating environment that is safe for the children Support children's daily care routines and ensure staff adhere to all the correct policies Be a keyworker and follow the EYFS framework, gaining observations and contributing to the child's learning journey Maintain health and safety at all times Ensure the well-being of the children is met as a priority. Carry out assessments based on the key child's development Provide activities and learning experiences based upon your child's interests and level of development. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents

Salary is dependent on age, qualifications and experience, please enquire within
