is looking for a passionate and dedicated

Deputy Team Manager

to join our amazing team and help make a lasting difference.


About the Role:





As Deputy Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading, managing, and professionally guiding a team of Social Workers and other practitioners. You'll ensure the delivery of a high-quality, strengths-based, person-centred social work service within Southwark's Practice Framework.



This is a varied and impactful role, where you'll manage complex cases, support the delivery of outcome-focused care packages, provide regular supervision, and contribute to the development of practice across the service.



Key responsibilities include:


Co-managing the team alongside the Team Manager, ensuring legislative compliance and best practice. Managing the most complex and high-profile cases, promoting timely case progression. Supervising and supporting a diverse cohort of practitioners, including ASYEs and students. Leading on performance monitoring, service development initiatives, and quality assurance. Ensuring continuity of care and effective transitions for adults with learning disabilities.

We'll support you with tailored training opportunities, reflective supervision, manageable caseloads, and a strong commitment to your professional development.
