to support the leadership and clinical management of our ward in Cardiff. You will work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure high-quality care delivery, staff development, and adherence to CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day ward operations, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development.
Lead clinical interventions for patients with mental health or learning disabilities.
Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines, risk assessments, and care plans.
Foster a therapeutic environment, maintaining dignity and respect for patients.
Participate in audits, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements:
Qualified RMN or RNLD
with active NMC registration.
Proven experience
in a senior nursing role (mental health or learning disabilities).
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of
Mental Health Act
and safeguarding protocols.
Flexibility to work
days or nights
as needed.
