Design Assistant - Flowers & Horticulture

Part / Full Time (4-5 days) | Monday-Friday | Multi-site (mainly Holbeach)

Superflora is looking for a

Design Assistant

to join our energetic NPD (New Product Development) team, helping to bring beautiful horticultural ranges to life for major UK retailers.

You'll be at the heart of the action - from first concept right through to final production - supporting the Head of Design and working closely with teams in both the UK and Holland.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same. You'll be involved in:

Creating product samples

from specifications and commercial offers, following details accurately

Organising samples and admin

- completing sample request forms, booking couriers and keeping packaging and sundries well stocked and organised

Styling in-house photoshoots

, making sure our products look their best on camera

Handling flowers and raw materials

- checking off deliveries, conditioning flowers, loading/unloading and rotating stock

Keeping the department running smoothly

- helping maintain a tidy, efficient workspace, chiller and storage areas alongside the team

Carrying out "comp shops"

- visiting retailers to purchase, photograph and document flower ranges for inspiration and benchmarking

Liaising with internal teams

in the UK and Holland to keep projects moving

Supporting new line start-ups and pre-productions

(including travel to Newport-Hull) Pitching in wherever needed during busy peak periods
What we're looking for

Required:

Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Full driving licence

(you'll be visiting stores and other sites)

Desirable:

Knowledge or genuine interest in

flowers / horticulture

Previous experience in

New Product Development

or a similar creative/commercial role
Hours & Location

Part or full time:

4-5 days per week

Core hours:

Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30

Flexibility:

Additional hours, early starts, late finishes and weekend work will be needed in peak periods

Location:

Multi-site role,

mainly Holbeach

, with travel to other locations as required (e.g. Newport-Hull)
