We are looking for a talented & enthusiastic Product Design graduate to support the Product Design team at our headquarters in Bath, UK.
The successful candidate will work within our Product Design Team, supporting in all aspects of new product development and implementation; from initial product strategizing, 3D design and sampling through to product set up, product launches and maintaining product data associated with our broad range of products. The role will provide administrative and analytical support to ensure the proficient running of the Product Design Department.
The ideal candidate should preferably have a year's experience gained from an internship/industrial placement spent within a Product design related role. The role is based at our Headquarters in the city of Bath with occasional travel to our premises in Bristol. There is the opportunity of some hybrid working too.
The key elements of the role are as follows:
Concept design generation & development, adopting the principles of the circular economy.
Preparation of new product specifications and supporting documentation.
Producing and management of samples & prototypes, including 3D printing.
Test & Development work.
CAD (SolidWorks) modelling, rendering (KeyShot) and preparation of detailed design drawings.
POS / packaging development.
Managing Product data, including liaison with our Marketing and Digital teams to ensure marketing copy is correct and accurate, and ensure consistency in categorisation of data.
Conducting market and competitor research, including research into new designs, technologies and sustainable alternatives.
Assisting in creating New Product launch, sales and customer presentations in PowerPoint.
Working with our marketing team, including Product Sample management for Photography and Digital Content Generation.
Working closely with our global vendor base.
The Applicant:
The successful applicant will have a good standard degree in product / industrial design, preferably with a period of work experience gained during their degree studies. An A-Level in Mathematics would be advantageous.
Key Skills:
A First or upper second-class degree in Product / Industrial Design or Design Engineering.
A highly organised, detail oriented and proactive approach.
A good knowledge of Solidworks, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of KeyShot would be of value.
Capable of a real hands-on approach to product development with a demonstrable understanding & interest in the technical aspects of product design.
Capable DIY, modelling & workshop skills.
An understanding of a wide variety of manufacturing processes and materials.
Experience of working in busy teams to a high degree of accuracy, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
A strategic and analytical mind.
Proficient planning, prioritising and organisational abilities.
Very bright and practical, with outstanding communication skills.
Capability to work and liaise internally and externally with people at all levels.
Highly self-motivated and able to use initiative to achieve the required results.

Salary & Other Benefits:
