Job Description

Kitchens by Holloways employs talented designers who use a combination of kitchen design, architectural design and interior design skills to create beautiful kitchen spaces for residential projects, mainly in West and South-West London. Our in-house building team, project managers, and cabinet makers turn the vision into reality, in an agreed time frame and for an agreed budget. Bespoke kitchens are manufactured at our Kitchens by Holloways workshop in Shrewsbury. Our design teams are based at our kitchen showrooms in Clapham, Richmond and Wimbledon.

We are currently looking for a talented, creative, and conscientious design assistant to support the senior designer in our Clapham Showroom and join our growing team of designers and project managers.

Role responsibilities:

Preparing 3D visualisations for kitchens, interior refurbishment projects and residential extensions using Virtual Worlds. Drawing 2D plans and elevations for residential kitchen projects using AutoCAD. Pulling together product specifications, material samples and inspiration images as required by the senior designer Generally assisting the senior designer with showroom duties, such as greeting clients when they visit, answering the phone, providing cover when the senior designer is away or busy, maintaining showroom displays and tidiness etc.

Requirements:

A degree (2:1 or above) in product design, interior design, architecture or similar design related course from a UK university. An active interest in

residential

design, architecture and interiors Experienced and proficient in AutoCAD (2D) Good written and verbal communication skills in English Confidence with using 3D software packages. (Experience with Virtual Worlds would be ideal)
Ideally the successful candidate will have some prior experience working for a kitchen company, architect practice or interior design company.

Salary dependent on experience.

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
