Projects Abroad is a B Corp Certified educational travel company, proudly based in Brighton and operating worldwide since 1992. With over 140,000 travellers to date and ambitious growth plans ahead, we're continuing to invest in building a high-performing, creative marketing team that supports ethical, impactful global education.
The Role
We are looking for a Design & Content Executive to join our marketing team. This is a balanced role, split approximately 50/50 between design and content writing, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing visual creativity with clear, engaging written communication.
You will be responsible for producing, managing, and optimising brand-aligned marketing materials across both digital and print, supporting lead generation, sales enablement, and brand awareness across multiple educational audiences, including teachers, careers advisors, parents, and students.
This role suits a strong marketing all-rounder rather than a specialist graphic designer. Much of the design work involves producing high-quality, template-led materials within established brand guidelines, so comfort with structured, repeatable outputs is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Production
Design and deliver a wide range of marketing materials, including:
Brochures and flyers
Programme itineraries
Presentations
Banners and exhibition materials
Work confidently within existing brand guidelines to produce accurate, consistent, and high-quality assets
Develop, maintain, and improve branded templates to support efficient production at scale
Liaise with third-party suppliers and printers when required, often working to deadlines
Content Writing & Messaging
Write clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate content, including:
Programme itineraries and educational materials
Website and landing page content
Blogs and thought-leadership articles
Marketing copy for campaigns and sales collateral
Adapt tone, structure, and messaging using defined audience personas
Maintain a strong understanding of Projects Abroad's programmes, destinations, and audiences
Email Marketing & Campaigns
Write and manage email marketing content to support lead generation and nurturing
Analyse email performance (open rates, click-through rates, ROI) and suggest improvements
Support email automation and lead nurturing activity through HubSpot CRM
Brand, Assets & Quality Control
Act as a brand advocate, ensuring all visual and written outputs meet brand standards
Own the organisation, maintenance, and updating of brand assets and templates within our digital asset management systems
Support colleagues across the business in using brand assets correctly and consistently
Apply excellent attention to detail when reviewing, updating, or repurposing content
Marketing Support & Performance
Collaborate with marketing and sales colleagues to support campaigns and partnerships
Use analytics and reporting tools to understand performance and inform recommendations
Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini) to support content ideation and drafting
Occasionally represent Projects Abroad at education fairs and exhibitions (some out-of-hours or international travel may be required)
About You
You are a well-organised, creative marketing professional who enjoys combining design execution with content creation. You are confident working within established brand guidelines, comfortable producing structured, repeatable materials, and equally confident crafting clear, engaging written content. You take ownership of your work, care deeply about quality and consistency, and enjoy collaborating with others.
