Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting an experienced Design Co-Ordinator to join our Design team.


Candidates should demonstrate a strong experience in the co-ordination of construction projects including design, knowledge of UK building regulations, with the ability to think in 3 dimensions and to think rationally to resolve design problems. This role will involve travel to site as project needs dictate.

Main duties:

Manage the projects design development in collaboration with the project manager, the client and Mivans architectural consultant. Develop adequate design information, detail design ideas, sketches and interpretation to allow the design team/s to produce accurate working drawings that are in accordance with the clients expectation. Monitor design costs on projects v budget allowables. Ensure proposed design is within budget allowables. Provide design advice eg. on building regulations, fire protection, etc. Ensure the design team produce clear, concise, accurate drawings in accordance to programme and to QA standards. Carry-out site surveys. Chair design meetings and represent design at meetings as required. Prepare design plans and complete them in accordance with Q.A. Procedures. Proactively close-out design issues. Keep adequate records, manage flow of information and provide regular progress reports.
