Design Draughtsperson

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Design Draughtsperson

to join our engineering team. The role has the option to evolve from technical design work into project management and engineering sales. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career with exposure to various aspects of engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Create accurate design layouts, detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using CAD, adhering to company design standards. Collaborate with engineering team to ensure design feasibility. Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the design and documentation process. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internally across departments to ensure designs meet required technical specifications cost effectively.

Future Responsibilities:

As the role develops, you will have the opportunity to:

Assume project management responsibilities, coordinating across departments and external partners. Assume responsibility for project coordination and delivery. Contribute to engineering sales by providing technical input and engaging with clients to develop tailored solutions.

Requirements:

Qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field (HND level or higher). Work experience in an engineering environment preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) preferred. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Pay: From 40,000.00 per year
