Market Leading firm are seeking a Design Engineer to join our award-winning team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new and existing products to suit the UK construction market, based close to the Gildersome area.

Responsibilities as a Design Engineer

• Assist with the generation and capture of new ideas for products, product improvements, and operational improvements.
• Analysing the business case for new ideas. This includes analysing design, manufacturing, and marketing factors.
• To effectively manage stakeholders and use product design skills to develop the design, production, training, and promotional elements of new products.
• To assist with the launch of new products. This will include actively responding to customer enquiries, analysing marketing and sales data, and potentially iterating on the design.

Qualifications of a Design Engineer

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
• Previous design experience acquired at University or on the job
• Applicants are invited from a wide range of Design backgrounds, e.g., Product Design, Architectural Design, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Design, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technician, CAD Engineer, CAD Technician, etc, Product specific training will be provided
• Strong creative, design, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD design, 3D and 2D AutoCAD experience in either Inventor or SolidWorks is preferred
