What You\'ll Do
As a Design Engineer in UK Techonology your key responsibility is the validation, design and either planning or build of secure and non secure customer solutions over the Vodafone network. You will play a critical role in delivering against our customer commitments incorporating all or a combination of the following tasks; access planning, circuit writing, OLO & radio.

  • Validate customers information and requirements to ensure descrepencies are captured and reported back via local work instructions.
  • Complete design documentation to support the right first time delivery of Vodafone\'s customer orders.
  • Agreed turnaround times are adhered to for timely delivery of customer orders through the Access process
  • Orders are planned using optimal delivery solutions, this includes the technology used to maintain profit margin.
Who You Are
The right person for this role will have the ability to manage a workstack of complex tasks across multiple systems to build services as defined by our product portfolio. This position is an important bridge between Sales and Delivery ensuring we process accurate services as per the agreed design with the customer. Skills required include knowledge of fixed networks/products, understanding of solution design in order to plan/circuit write effectively and ability to create and place accurate orders with our suppliers.
  • Experience within a telecommunications environment and a clear understanding of technologies used to deliver customer solutions (SDH, DWDM, IP, DSL, Voice)
  • Experience on order and inventory applications such as Clarify, Cramer, MORI
  • A good ability to analyse and problem solve delivery solutions utilising network inventories and colleague support
  • Clear and concise communications skills both verbal and written to support role
  • Support/Mentor less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience
