Design Engineer - Telecoms

What you will be doing:
You will join our Clients Telecoms Business Unit, which works predominantly within the UK\'s Critical National Infrastructure market, focussing on the Wireless and Fixed Line Telecoms, Defence, Energy and Transport sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Telecoms Design process
  • Managing external designers, design consultants and design co-ordinators.
  • Planning, co-ordinating and developing all design staff levels necessary to undertake current and forecast workloads in accordance with current technical requirements.
  • Supporting the Project Delivery teams.
  • Ensuring that any Client driven project specific design procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Reviewing and approving designs submitted by supply chain and onward upload to the client ensuring a \xe2\x80\x9cRight First Time\xe2\x80\x9d approach and delivery model.
  • Establishing a teamwork culture through providing motivation and leadership and ensure the appropriate communication levels are recognised and observed.
Key Skills Required:
  • Degree level or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering/Electrical Engineering
  • strong telecommunications design experience, who is commercially astute with accurate reporting.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer and the client
  • Advanced problem-solving, organisational skills and able to prioritise multiple workloads.
