Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Design Estimator to support our Sales Team with accurate project estimates and technical proposals. This role is vital in ensuring the successful design and costing of active safety systems across a range of projects. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are financially viable and completed within budget. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering high-quality results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare materials and labour take-offs. Create and distribute sales estimates and proposals. Collaborate with Sales and Project Fulfilment teams to assess risks. Analyse project specifications and produce detailed cost summaries. Ensure designs meet quality, regulatory, and health & safety standards. Generate system renders, wiring diagrams, and schematics for active safety projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating, ideally within electrical installations. Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools. Experience with CAD, Revit or similar design software. Full clean driver's licence (site visits may be required). CSCS / SMSTS; IOSH / NEBOSH desirable.
