Due to retirement, we are now seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title: Design Manager

The role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will produce and oversee designs for new products in line with current trends.

Management of our product portfolio, Identification of future product needs, and current offer succession requirements.

Managing the Design team in delivering product from concept to production readiness and launch and supporting the business in design and product specification related enquiries.

Provide Marketing direction, collaterals and support for the product offering and specifically new launches and website maintenance.

Job Specification / responsibilities:

Oversee Design team and prototype engineer Create & oversee design projects (internal & external). Support all company departments on design led requirements Liaise with suppliers/purchasing/sales to ensure technical specifications are correct
Support Design team on all aspects of projects

Support Sales team on design led issues, providing solutions for bespoke enquiries Review sales documentation for accurate representation of products

Key Skills required

3+yrs relevant design experience - ideally within the contract furniture industry

Autodesk, Autocad & Inventor software

Meticulous attention to detail

Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes

Excellent Organisational, communication and people management ability

Knowledge and understanding of marketing activities, events and exhibitions
