Role Overview:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the design phase of projects, ensuring smooth transitions between design and construction, and liaising with multiple departments to ensure design execution meets client requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design Coordination & Planning:

Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers to create and review design plans for manufacturing and fit-out projects. Ensure that design documents are accurate, complete, and in line with the project's scope and budget. Develop detailed design schedules, tracking progress against project timelines. Identify potential issues and risks in the design phase and propose solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Project Management Support:

Work closely with project managers to develop project timelines, allocating resources and monitoring progress. Maintain and update project documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and change orders. Ensure that designs meet all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Organise regular design review meetings to track the project's progress and resolve any design-related concerns.
Client Liaison:

Communicate with clients to understand their design needs, requirements, and preferences. Provide design updates and facilitate client approvals as required. Act as the point of contact between the design team and the client for design-related queries.
Quality Assurance:

Ensure designs are aligned with company standards, quality expectations, and industry best practices. Conduct on-site visits to monitor the implementation of designs and resolve any issues related to design execution.

Skills:

A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field is desirable. Experience with design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD tools. Also Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with building regulations, health & safety standards, and industry codes of practice. Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset. Ability to travel to client sites or supplier locations as needed. Knowledge of sustainability practices in design and fit-out is a plus. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail. Strong team player, willing to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
