We are looking for a proactive and technically minded

Design & Proposals Manager

to join our expanding

Eco-Tech Division

. This key role will take responsibility for the design, pricing, and pre-construction support of projects involving

solar PV

,

LED lighting replacements

,

EV charging

, and

battery storage

.

You will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, helping to shape early-stage solutions and identify new opportunities to support their journey to net zero. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of low-carbon technologies, be confident dealing with customers, and have a commercially aware, solutions-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop technical designs and accurate quotations for solar PV, LED lighting, EV charging, and battery storage projects Produce layout drawings, performance calculations, and cost estimates to support tenders and proposals Engage directly with new and existing customers to understand their requirements and present tailored solutions Support the pre-construction phase of projects, including site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners Identify new opportunities and contribute to business development activities Collaborate with internal teams including delivery, procurement, and senior management to ensure proposals are viable and aligned with delivery capabilities Stay up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies, and market developments

Essential Requirements:

Good understanding of low-carbon technologies such as solar PV, LED lighting, EV charging, and battery storage Experience producing technical designs and quotations in a similar role Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and confident manner Commercial awareness and a good understanding of the sales process Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Proficient in using design and estimating tools (e.g., PVSol, AutoCAD)
Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Background in the renewable energy, M&E, or energy efficiency sectors Recognised qualification in electrical or renewable energy disciplines Familiarity with relevant UK regulations such as G99/G100, BS7671, etc. Experience working with public sector, commercial, or industrial clients
