The role

We are currently looking for a Design Technician to join our busy team. You will work along side the design team in creating detailed technical drawings for use in all stages of our projects - tender, manufacture, construction and installation. You will attend design meetings to understand project requirements and make modifications where required.

What you will need.

Create accurate, detailed Architectural and Construction drawings using various CAD software programmes.

Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and delivery.

Liaise with Architects, engineers and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians.

Conduct site visits and surveys as and when required.

Ensure drawings are compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Maintain accurate records.

Provide project support functions to the Operations team and Project Managers.

Adherence to Company operating systems and Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Carry out duties as directed by Senior Management.

Basic knowledge of design principles and ability to create and read technical drawings using 2D CAD as a minimum.

Good written and verbal communication and the confidence to interact effectively with a wide range of people.

Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.

Highly motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Good team worker but also able to work using own initiative.

Core office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm however we are able to consider part-time hours. Working times and salary expectations will be discussed in more depth at interview.

Pay: From 24,420.00 per year
