Our Bedroom Furnishings division, BD Living provide furnishing solutions that will fit in with our customers' homes perfectly. This team supply's and fits storage and bedroom furniture, from cutting edge styles to contemporary classics.
Reporting to the Technical Team Leader, you will ensure that all technical information is available to the production and fitting departments to suit the planned programme. To liaise with and advise other departments on technical matters and to coordinate technical information on projects from inception to completion.
What will I be responsible for?
Produce material cutting lists for Group house-types requiring fitted wardrobes
Assist with new product/design layouts of both our marketing suite furniture and bedroom furniture as required
Provide technical support to BD Living sales and installations teams to ensure Bedroom Furniture installations are in line with Barratt Group requirements
Produce technical cuttings lists and associated paperwork in line with required timescales, and identify standard and bespoke products and processes as required for the installation of furniture
Provide a professional and efficient service for installation of products to the department's internal teams and to Barratt Group teams as required
Share technical skills and processes with internal teams as appropriate, and take ownership of specific technical tasks/requirements within the technical team.

What you'll need?
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Must have excellent organisation and communication skills.
Must be able to work independently or within a team
Experience in interpreting/referencing architectural/technical drawings of house-type layouts and scaling off drawings would be beneficial
Experience in furniture design/manufacture would be beneficial as well as processing production orders and creating Bill of Materials for wardrobe manufacture
Experience in creating furniture layouts would be beneficial
Experience of using CAD or similar drawing packages would be beneficial.
