Job Description

The Role:

Hampton Conservatories is an industry leading manufacturer of bespoke Conservatories and Orangeries and we are searching for an individual with a strong technical background, interested in employing their CAD design skills to contribute to our current highly experienced design team.

This key role involves using Autocad design software to create detailed drawings of projects, initially for use by sales consultants presenting to Clients and later to adapt these designs to produce a comprehensive manufacturing package including drawings, files for CAM software, bills of materials, etc..

Whilst the core of this role is design you will also have the opportunity to learn, develop and utilise other skills.

This is a broad role requiring more than just CAD capability and will suit an individual looking to develop a career in a forward-thinking business which has embraced lean manufacturing values.

Requirements:

Essential

Training or experience in technical design preferably in a manufacturing environment

Experience of working with Autocad

Excellent communication and team working skills

Ability to understand/interpret technical drawings

Ability to produce clear drawings for use in a manufacturing environment

Desirable

Knowledge of joinery design

Experience in CNC programming

Experience of construction design
