?We work with some of the largest and most respected manufacturing partners in the mass timber and timber frame industries, sourcing our mass timber products from across Europe and controlling the uplift and transportation of goods directly to the construction site via our trusted logistics partners

About the Role

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented and skilled Design Technician to join our dynamic & friendly team. The ideal candidate will will play a key role in translating design concepts into 3D Revit models, 2D technical drawings/details and production information for submission to factory. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet each project requirements and detailed specifications.

Work consists on a variety of interesting projects encompassing Education, Leisure, Renewable Energy, Public, Commercial, Industrial, Hospitality and Private Residential building sectors.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Ideally gained a minimum of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Architectural, Engineering or Building Design. High proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD & Revit is required. Knowledge of Navisworks (Clash Detection) - desirable but not essential. A minimum of 1 years previous UK experience working within a design or construction environment across a variety of sectors. Experience in mass timber (CLT & Glulam) design and techniques is beneficial. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel. Experience in working with digital platforms particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules. Proficiency at planning and organising workload. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent presentation skills. Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Location

Westhill, Aberdeenshire (Head Office) based with a possible Hybrid mix if needed. Willing to travel if/when required for project meetings, exhibitions, etc...

Salary

To be discussed with candidates individually and will be dependent on qualifications & previous work experience.
