Design Technology Teacher
to join their dedicated school from
September 2025
. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about design and technology, and eager to inspire the next generation of innovators.
The school hiring are a mixed comprehensive secondary school with ages from 11-18 years of age. They're based in North West London with great access to public transport links. They are rated as a "Good" school by Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4, in subjects including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and possibly Engineering or Electronics. Tailor your teaching to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
Curriculum Development:
Work collaboratively with the Design Technology department to develop, review, and enhance the curriculum to ensure it aligns with national standards and inspires student creativity.
Assessment & Feedback:
Provide regular formative and summative assessments, track student progress, and offer constructive feedback to support students' development.
Classroom Management:
Establish a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn.
Extracurricular Activities:
Support and lead extracurricular activities related to Design Technology, such as after-school clubs, workshops, and school-wide projects.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices, stay updated on technological advancements, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
