Are you a creative and skilled designer looking for your next career opportunity?
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is hiring for a Designer to join our in-house team.
You will have the opportunity to create inspiring designs and artwork for digital and print communications. You'll work on a wide variety of design projects to support fundraising, engagement and brand activity for the charity and hospital.

Salary



The salary for this position is 33,162 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.



In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
Key Responsibilities


Deliver high quality integrated creative work, using a wide range of design and design thinking skills across print and digital marketing, concepting, illustration, animation, storyboarding, wireframing, UI design and large-scale display materials. Ensure all work aligns to the charity and hospital brand and strategy. Manage work schedules for projects. Organise and art direct photography of hospital staff, patients and families, requiring sensitivity and compliance with hospital and charity regulations. Liaise with external suppliers including freelance designers, printers and photographers. Help to manage the charity/hospital image library and ensure we have the correct permissions. Collaborate with outside agencies as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Previous experience working as a graphic designer for print and digital. Strong Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator experience. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to interpret creative briefs and apply design concepts across a range of materials, through to final delivery. Strong communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail
