We are looking for an experienced Designer to join Deanestor, the market leader for undertaking specialist furniture subcontracts in the Healthcare, Student accommodation and Education sector.

Job Purpose



Working under the supervision of the Head of Design and alongside a fully dedicated team within a busy Design Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of layout drawings and designs for furniture and items in numerous different business sectors.

Responsibilities:



Accurately prepare design information outputs from a variety of Client Input Information including, but not limited to;

- Employer requirements. - Room Data Sheets (RDS). - Revit files, 3D models and DWG's. - Client Sketches.
To be financially responsible coupled with the accountability for the accuracy of design and coordination within our tender proposals.

Co-ordinate tasks with the Sales, Production and Project teams to ensure that best value is offered and deadlines are achieved.

Manage the design aspects of the projects from conception to completion

Ensure the health and safety aspects of the designs are taken into account and full risk assessments are completed.

Provide full traceability of the design process and ensure all records are stored correctly.

To be an ambassador for Deanestor, working closely with the senior management team, to support major projects and client submissions.

Skills & Competencies:



Ability to use own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise pipeline workload. First rate communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail. Experience of working on Construction and Refurbishment projects. Working experience of presenting technical and complex information. Ability to disseminate and summarise complex information relating to the Estimating Function. Self-motivated to succeed in both individual and team tasks. Successful delivery of design propositions, across a wide range of sectors, on time. Experience of controlling costs through specification, timing and quality in line with targets. Experience of reading and accurately interpreting drawings, sketches and technical specifications. Excellent standard of Design / Drafting / sketching ability using a variety of design medium.

Knowledge & Abilities:



Experience of Revit essential. Experience of AutoCAD & 3D modelling desirable. Experience of space planning/room layouts. Experience of bespoke joinery work desirable Ability to prepare visualisations, dimensional drawings and installation drawings.

Pay: 28,000.00-34,000.00 per year
