Deskside Technician

Job Description




The Deskside technician position will require an individual to solve customer support issues by visiting the customer\'s location and may involve supporting multiple facilities. The team consists of technicians who intervenes on customer\'s machines to solve issues on-site. This team interfaces with the Service Desk and other support teams to achieve the deliverables supporting the OSS contract. Candidates will be required to have PC support knowledge and experience with specialized tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to computer related tickets within set KPIs
  • Lenovo PC (desktops / laptops) - Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Read and understand English technical documents (working instructions, standard operating processes, ?)
  • Ability to resolve Windows 10 & 11 Operating System errors
  • Device lifecycle management within asset management tool (creation, modification, retirement, database accuracy quality monitoring, ?)
  • Good skills and knowledge of Windows Operating systems
  • Ability to perform accurate network patching and switch installation in racks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite including MS Teams
  • Correctly track incidents and hardware orders timely and accurately using Service Now.
  • Hardware support e.g. printer setup, component replacement, barcode scanners, Zebra devices, etc
  • Basic knowledge of MDM solutions (MS InTune, Apple DEP)
