About the role:




You will be responsible for conducting remote property assessments to support claims and surveying decisions, validate claims, and identify potential risks. This role is ideal for someone with a background in property surveying, insurance, or risk management who is comfortable working with digital tools and has a keen eye for detail.


You'll work closely with surveyors, claims handlers, and customer service teams to ensure that each property is accurately assessed and that our customers receive fair and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct detailed desktop surveys of residential properties using surveyor reports, digital imagery, mapping software, and customer-provided documentation. Evaluate property construction, condition, occupancy, and location-based risks to support customer outcomes and claims decisions. Identify and report on potential hazards such as flood risk, subsidence, structural issues, or non-standard construction. Liaise with policyholders and third-party providers to gather additional information where necessary. Produce clear, concise, and accurate survey reports in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. Support the claims team in validating property damage claims by reviewing photographic evidence and policy coverage. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, insurance risk factors, and industry best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of desktop surveying processes and tools.

Key Requirements:



Proven experience in property surveying, insurance underwriting, or claims assessment (preferably in home insurance). Strong understanding of residential construction types, building materials, and property risk factors. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficient in using digital tools such as GIS mapping, remote survey platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly. Ability to manage multiple assessments simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relevant qualifications such as Cert CII, Dip CII, RICS, or equivalent are highly desirable.
